How To Glitter a Wine Glass

Today I am sharing with you how to make a glittered wine glass. I think you are going to love this glittered wine glass. Great idea for girl's night out, bachelorette parties, holiday parties, and any other function where you need to add a little extra glitter and shine! You can change up the color glitter used to match any theme or holiday.
I used a purple glitter, 256 Purple Passion, and Art Glitter's Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. I really like purple and wanted to try it out on a wine glass. I'll show you how I used these products to create the glittered wine glass in the video above.
Thanks for stopping by Art Glitter. I hope you enjoyed this project and video!
List of items needed:
Wine Glass
Masking Tape
Designer Dries Clear Adhesive
Paint Brush
Make-Up Brush
Spoon
2oz Ultrafine Glitter (color of your choosing)
Piece of Paper (you will work over it to catch the spills of glitter so you can pour back into the jar)
Paper Plate (use to pour Designer Dries Clear Adhesive on for easier application)
Small Tray or Dish (you will use this to put your glitter in for easier application)

Step 1: Tape off your design. I will leave an open spot somewhere near the top for the mouth to go. You can really be as creative as you want with this step.
Step 2: You will pour some of your Designer Dries Clear Adhesive out onto your paper plate. This will make applying to the glass much easier. Now when you first start brushing it onto the glass, you will notice the adhesive pulling back some. Not to worry, this is normal! You want to continue applying your adhesive. As you work across the glass, the adhesive will begin to dry some and get more of a tacky consistency, which will allow it to stay where you've brushed it on. You will need to take the time to go back over it making sure every spot you want glittered, is covered in adhesive.
Step 3: You will need to pour your glitter into the small tray or dish. This will make applying the glitter so much easier. You want to hold your spoon at a 45 degree angle, and lightly shake the spoon from left to right, sprinkling the glitter onto the glass. You want to have a smooth, even application of the glitter. Slowly spin the glass around so that you get all the adhesive covered in glitter. You can go over it a couple of times just to make sure you're getting the entire surface fully glittered.
Step 4: Remove masking tape. You want to do this as soon as you're done applying the glitter, and before the adhesive dries. You will get a much more crisp line by removing tape before adhesive dries. Once its dried, you risk the tape being adhered to the glass.
Step 5: Once the adhesive has fully dried, take your make-up brush and begin to sweep off the excess glitter. You can do this step outside, to prevent a glitter mess inside. If you want to conserve the excess glitter, you can do this over a piece of paper, then pour back into your jar. Now you have fully completed glittering your own wine glass!! You will want to gently hand wash your glittered wine glass. I would not recommend using a dishwasher.
